The Aviar has had a long history in disc golf and gone through many changes. The most sought-after version of the Champion Aviar is the "big bead" mold, better known as the Aviar Driver mold. This type of Champ Aviar was discontinued in 2006, with the last production run known as "11x Big Beads", for their Ken Climo 11-Time World Champ stamp. Since that time however, the remaining factory blanks have trickled out without the Ken Climo signature or 11x marking. The disc listed here has a standard Champion Aviar stamp, no Ken Climo or 11x marking. However these are true 11x-runs stamped after discontinuation, and share the San Marino and double ring identifiers of the 11x's. With the sky-rocketed price of 11x Big Beads, these undercover 11x's are a steal!
The Champion Aviar provides a comfortable grip and is extremely durable. The stamp on these discs may vary, but our collector experts have identified them as true 11x runs.
Please Note: Since Climo won his 12th Championship AFTER this signature disc was discontinued, there was no 12x Champ Aviar stamp produced, which is why these leftover blanks were stamped without the 11x stamp. Discs are often stamped at the factory months or years after their initial production.
